Salisbury

I learned about the Magna Carta in school. To actually see the document was incredible. The church was similar to Westminster Abbey but on a smaller scale. My neck did not get tired from looking so far up.

Wicked

The play Wicked was outstanding. I have not read the book but the play is a great motivator. Have you ever wondered why the witch was wicked in the Wizard of Oz? Wicked tells the true story of the "wicked witch".

Inside The London Eye

What does it look like inside the London Eye? FSU Multimedia Design students are busy taken in the majestic view of the city.

The Eye of London

The London Eye is the all seeing eye of London. Riding in the London Eye is a photographers dream come true. You have 30 minutes to snap as many photos as possible. The only drawback for me on the London Eye was that my camera battery died. I exhausted the battery but every photo I took was worth it. Guess what I'm going shopping to find. You guessed it! A backup battery.

Big Ben

What a huge clock. You can not wear a watch in London but hearing the chimes of Big Ben will let you know the time. It was fun today listening for Big Ben chimes announcing the time of day. I loose track of time because the day is long with the sun setting much later. Big Ben is like old faithful.

London Parliment Building

Another grand building. I just couldn't stop taking pictures at different angles of the buildings. I took more pictures of the Abbey. My digital camera battery was exhausted by the time I reached the London Eye.

The Buildings of London

The focus for my pictures today was buildings. Doorways and entry points were fun to photograph. It was difficult picking my best picture because I like them all.

Westmintser Abbey

Today was a very memorable day filled with fun and excitement. Imagine visiting a building so large that looking up inside the building strains your neck. Westminster Abbey is a spectacular site to see. Unfortunately no photos can be taken inside the church.

The Changing of the Guard

The pageantry of the changing of seems old but thousands lined the street for the daily occurrence. I was amazed by the number of people in awe of the procession. The red colored street was surrounded by people like me waiting to see the procession.

St. Pauls Cathedral

I took many shots on the bus but I think the best shots taken of St. Paul's was when I got off the bus. The Church is huge and it's almost 300 years old. The church building was recently cleaned in preparation for the 300 year celebration. Me and my multi - media friends probably could have beat the world record for the number of photos taken in less than 10 minutes.

The bus tour

This morning the bus tour was awesome. I was amazed at how many clear pictures I could take on a moving bus. The buildings of London have so much history. Many buildings have royal connections. The architecture of the buildings are spectacular. I wish I could have slowed the bus down to get more pictures but I was pretty successful with getting the shots I wanted.

Wheres Myles ?

In case you are wondering about Myles he is quite all right. He was suffering from jet lag and he decided to sleep in today. He will be ready tomorrow for the bus tour.

New Food Choices

Yesterday I shopped for groceries at Sainsbury. I noticed how the Londoners were making a meal from the five a day vegetables and fruits bar. (looks similar to a salad bar) I decided to give it a try. It was quite tasty. Everything was cold. I really enjoyed the meal. After my Wimbledon adventure I had fish and chips at Marlborough Arms. I also had mushed peas with the meal. I enjoyed my meal.

Bloomburg Tour

This morning I went on a walking tour around London. The tour was a great way to learn about the places in the neighborhood. No pictures because oops I forgot to replace the battery after charging last night. No worries
My next adventure will be Wimbledon. I just love tennis !

My Flat Space

This is my home away from home.

View from Flat

To The FSU London Study Center

The bus trip to the center took two hours. The trip was uneventful. I found out that there are no lifts in the building. So bags have to be taken up the stairs by the students. I pick up my keys and head to my room that is not on the 1st floor. My luggage met airport weight and I did not have to pay money. Both bags were under 40 pounds but going up the stairs the bags were VERY HEAVY.
Climbing the steep steep stairs was not easy.

The Eagle has Landed

The plane landing is perfect! I'm in England. The journey was long, but I have finally arrived! I can't wait to explore. There was a long long walk to get to customs. :)

Enland from the skies

I'm almost there. My fellow travelers are moving about, and we are served breakfast. No blinds are open! After breakfast I open my blinds and I see lots of green. I don't recall seeing so much green when flying into to Tampa. I will check this out on my return! The countryside is beautiful.

My first view of England

I have been following the planes progress across the Atlantic. All blinds were closed and the cabin was still very quiet. I could see sunlight through the blinds. I open my blinds a little. It was so bright. Wow! Just clouds and the early morning light.

Delayed Plans

My flight was scheduled to leave today, Wednesday at 5:55PM. Unfortunately the flight is delayed 1 hour and 30 minutes. I will arrive in Gatwick later than planned. So my London plans are slightly delayed. I'm patiently waiting for takeoff.

The Day Before Takeoff

This morning when I woke up ideas started to run through my mind. I decided that today will be the last day for preparing for the trip. Tomorrow I plan on relaxing with family and friends before my trip. I have to make a plan today on what I want to accomplish. I will be ready for my day of relaxation tomorrow.

Where is Myles?

It's difficult deciding what to pack. I don't want to leave anything essential behind. This is so hard. I want to have everything I need, but I can only bring so many bags on the plane. How do you decide what's too much?

Travel Buddy

My faithful FSU traveling bear Myles will make the journey with me. Myles is my packing expert.

I'm excited about my planned trip. This is my first trip to the UK. I hope to share many many pictures of all the exciting places I visit.
